Call For Speakers At Game Connection Europe 2011


International video game professionals wanted in the following domains of expertise: programming, game design, graphics, production and business
Paris, July 18 2011 - From 6th-8th December 2011 (Grande Arche de la défense, Paris, France), Game Connection Europe will open its doors to more than a thousand delegates from around the world. In addition to its very popular business meeting system designed for decision makers, this year the show will offer a series of conferences and master classes bringing significant added value to delegates. Production technicians, industry experts and publishing professionals will have the opportunity to learn and grow professionally with a series of high level conferences, themed workshops and training sessions.


As of today, industry specialists are formally invited to submit their candidature to speak at and lead conferences, training sessions and master classes.

Conferences for game makers by game makers

From production management solutions and programming tools to comprehensive insights into game design, art and business, every subject will be covered over the three days of the show.


Applicants wishing to lead sessions will be required to demonstrate their experience and deliver a high calibre proposal in one of the  eligible areas  (code, game design, graphics, business, production).

Speakers will share the latest best practices in their chosen domain with an audience of professionals and peers. The most advanced presentations which significantly raise the bar in terms of understanding and best practices within a particular field will be favoured by the selection committee who will carefully examine all applications submitted by August 8th.

Chosen candidates will lead sessions in one of the two following formats:

  • Conference sessions of 60 minutes followed by an additional hour of workshop time to discuss and share ideas in a smaller group.
  • Intensive one or two day training master classes in small working groups (12-20 people)

From now on the show will comprise of separate areas, each catering to the needs of different groups within the industry, namely:
  • Business area where managers, business development professionals, acquisition managers, licensing managers and service providers will conduct back to back 30 minute business meetings. Objectives can include financing a game production or co-production, finding a new partner, or confidentially sharing information and expertise.
  • Training area where delegates share, learn and grow professionally with a three day program of sessions built around four themes: programming (technical direction, tools programming, engine, R&D etc), game and level design, graphics (2D, 3D, animation), production (methodologies, management, information systems etc), and business here.
