Gaby Roslin hosts the fifth large-scale event for children and their families staged by the BBC Proms. This year the BBC Concert Orchestra plays some of Disney’s best-known songs with plenty of on-stage action with dancing, singing and story-telling, plus footage from the animated classics relayed on giant screens around the park. The evening will end in a grand finale as Mickey Mouse takes the stage to conduct special effects.
One of South Africa’s most acclaimed artists, Lebo M gives a special guest performance. Best known for his resonating vocals on the Oscar-nominated soundtrack to Disney’s Lion King, Lebo M performs ‘Circle of Life’, the famed opening track from the animated film.
