UK EXIBITORS DEFINE TOMORROW?S TECHNOLOGY
AT THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL CES

7 December 2005 - The very latest technology from some of the UK?s top consumer electronics companies will be on show at the world?s largest consumer electronics tradeshow, the 2006 International CES ? run by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) in Las Vegas, 5-8 January 2006.

CES showcases consumer technologies including wireless devices, electronic gaming, digital imaging, home entertainment, digital audio and video, mobile electronics, broadband, content media, home networking and information technologies. Some highlights of what?s on show from the UK include:

Atlas (Scotland) Ltd. one of the leaders in research, development and the production of audio visual and high fidelity interconnect leads and cables will be launching its new range of HDMI cables and Hyper speaker cables. Another consumer technology leader from Scotland Wolfson Microelectronics is a global supplier of mixed-signal semiconductors for digital audio and imaging applications. At this year?s show Wolfson will focus on portable audio - look out for its innovative new amplifier technology which not only provides portable hi-fi audio but also extends critical battery life.

CES visitors will have the chance to see and hear the Fundamental-k2, a range of speakers set to redefine expectations, allowing the listener to hear music without the intrusion of the transducer's interpretation. With a frequency response of 20Hz - 43KHz
(+ / -3dB) the Fundamental-k2 boasts features such as special drivers with resonance control, a four-layer double membrane laminate enclosure and sapphire tweeter.
