ODEON TO SUPPORT MURRAY MANIA WITH LIVE 3D WIMBLEDON FINAL
As the nation waits in anticipation of the Andy Murray semi-final, ODEON - the largest cinema group in Europe – is preparing to bring the Men’s Wimbledon Final live to 16 ODEON cinemas across the UK in glorious 3D. And this year, more than ever, everyone’s fingers are firmly crossed for a Brit to be taking part in the action!
The ODEON live screenings will take place from 1.45pm, Sunday July 8th at ODEON cinemas in Bath, Belfast, Braehead, Brighton, Cardiff, Colchester, Covent Garden, Dunfermline, Kingston, Manchester (Printworks), Newcastle East, Norwich, Sheffield, Southampton, Swiss Cottage and of course, Wimbledon.
If Murray is victorious today and makes it through, it will be a historic occasion. Murray will be the first British man to reach the Championship Final since 1938, when colour “talkie” films in the cinema were still in their infancy. In stark contrast, ODEON will be offering tennis fans everywhere the ultimate viewing experience bringing all of the excitement and atmosphere of the famous Centre Court to your local ODEON cinema using cutting edge digital technology and in stunning 3D.
